About the Author:
Jenny Gibbs FRSA MCSD BIDA FICPD is Principal of the KLC School of Design and has been listed by House & Garden magazine as one of the leading contributors to British Design. Committed to raising the profile of the design industry, she is a regular broadcaster on television and radio and an internationally renowned public speaker, author and writer for home interest magazines.
From Library Journal:
Gibbs, an educator and founder of KLC, the London interior design college, tries unsuccessfully to pack into one book all the elements of an interior design education, which she acknowledges takes up to four years to complete. Professionals who need to review certain skills might find this book useful, but the treatment given is too cursory to be of much use to students, who can spend at least a semester on skills such a drafting, presentation technique, and budgeting. Gibbs's Curtains & Draperies: History, Design, Inspiration (LJ 8/94) was such an excellent work that this one is a tremendous disappointment.
