About the Author:
Russell Ash is the uncontested king of lists. He began his career in publishing in 1967, and then established his own publishing company in 1973. His books include Incredible Comparisons, The World in One Day, and Factastic Millennium Facts.
Review:
Like Guinness World Records, this is the sort of book that either bores you to tears or holds you enthralled for hours on end, as you discover how much you didn't know about everything. And also like Guinness World Records it is hugely popular, especially at Christmas, when it is evidently the ideal solution to many a pressing gift conundrum. It's the same tried and tested formula of the previous 14 editions and it contains exactly what it says on the cover. It's emphatically not the sort of book that benefits from being sold from the shelf. It's a pile 'em high Christmas book, and with this in mind the publisher will supply booksellers with wire towers preloaded with 15 copies of this book plus The Top 10 of Film.
