From School Library Journal:
Grade 5-8-- An average collection of different types of puzzles (verbal, math, matchstick, spatial, geometric, etc.) in no particular order. The black-and-white illustrations are enhanced with clip art, and the answers to each puzzle are in the back of the book. There are a couple of grammatical errors, and although several puzzles have alternate solutions, only once is there a suggestion that more than one answer may be correct. One puzzle is impossible to solve as described; the solution given does not work with the information provided. This is for an older age group than Gardner's Perplexing Puzzles and Tantalizing Teasers (S. & S., 1969; o.p.), but Gardner's collection is still the best. --JoAnn Rees, Sunnyvale Public Library, CA
