Larry Chowning of Urbanna, Virginia, is an award-winning reporter who has been covering the Chesapeake Bay's fisheries for regional and national periodicals for over a decade. As field editor for National Fisherman, the nation's most prominent publication directs specifically to the fisheries, he has traveled extensively in Maryland and Virginia. Besides covering the more publicized events related to the fisheries, Chowning has specialized in the human stories that are found on the back roads of the Chesapeake Bay region.
