Henry's Adventure at the Franklin Hotel - Hardcover

In 1965, Nancy Cartwright started working at the Franklin Hotel as a waitress for Dorothy Treber Hoherz, daughter of a Deadwood pioneer. Dorothy introduced Nancy to the culture and history of Deadwood. Across the next decade, Nancy continued to work at the hotel while she put herself through college and then began her teaching career. While employed at the Franklin Hotel, Nancy visited with many pioneers of the Deadwood area and soaked up the history. Today, Nancy is a librarian for the Lead-Deadwood Elementary School and works with Black Hills Central Reservations. Using her love of history and the Black Hills of South Dakota, Nancy plans excursions for vacationers to the area. Joanna Jones is an author, educator, and consultant. She has taught in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and South Dakota. Children's literature has been her greatest love while teaching and now sees this book as a reflection of her studies in the field. Joanna currently works as an artist in residence to help children write books.
