Tag-Along Fred is the first in a series of books starring the precocious and endearing Fred, a child who likes to tag along and learn about the people and places in his world. In his debut, Fred tags along with various members of his community, learning about their jobs and how they help the people around them. In his adventures he meets a traffic cop, a fireman, a mailman and a garbage man. While initially motivated by simple curiosity, Fred learns about each person's job and just how important it is to the community as a whole. Intended to teach children to respect those who work hard and to take pride in any job well done, Tag-Along Fred not only succeeds on every count, but will no doubt encourage children to ask questions and create adventures of their own.
