About the Author:
The daughter of a diplomat and industrialist, Angi Ma Wong was born in Nanking, China, and has lived in New Zealand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, New York/New Jersey and Washington, D.C. She was the founding president of the women s service sorority, Chi Delta Alpha, which in 2007 celebrated its 40th anniversary, at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Angi later graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA in English, followed by post-graduate studies at UCLA and California State University, Long Beach, resulting in a lifetime California Teaching Credential. She is an award-winning businesswoman and best-selling author who has written 29 titles, fifteen on feng shui, the Chinese environmental system of placement, including Feng Shui Dos and Taboos ® series and the award-winner TARGET: The U.S. Asian Market, and contributing author to many other titles. Her latest children s books are Barack Obama: Historymaker and Meet President Obama and newest release for November 2010 is A Cancer Survivor s Secrets to Healthy Living Angi founded her intercultural and feng shui consultancy and corporate training business in 1989 and her publishing company, Pacific Heritage Books in 1992. Through writing, publishing, public speaking and seminars, she bridges cultures for understanding and profitability between Asians and non-Asians. She was named Outstanding L.A. Businesswoman of the Year by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) in 1995 and won the IRWIN Award as the Southern California Publicist of the Year in 1997 as well as received numerous other honors for her work and volunteerism. Most recently, Angi was given the Heritage Award from the Aquarium of the Pacific in November 2009.
