The play takes place in Denmark, and deals with the accidents after the murder of King Hamlet (father of Prince Hamlet), at the hands of his brother Claudius. The king's ghost asks his son to avenge his murderer. The work runs vividly around the madness (both real and feigned), and the transformation of deep pain into excessive anger. In addition to exploring issues such as betrayal, revenge, incest and moral corruption. The work begins a cold night in Elsinor, the royal castle of Denmark. A sentinel named Francisco is relieved by another man named Bernardo. When the first one leaves, another sentinel named Marcelo comes in with Horacio. In their conversations we discovered that the protagonist of the work is Prince Hamlet of Denmark, son of the deceased king. After the death of the king, his uncle Claudius marries the wife of the sovereign, Queen Gertrude, mother of Hamlet. He also recounted the fact that Denmark has a long enmity with Norway, and an invasion by the latter country, led by Prince Fortimbrás, is expected. The sentinels try to convince Horacio, who turns out to be Hamlet's best friend, who has seen the ghost of King Hamlet when he appears to them. After hearing Horace, Prince Hamlet decides to go, at night, to the place of the apparitions to see the ghost himself. Polonius is the chamberlain of the kingdom; his son, Laertes, leaves for a trip to France and his daughter, Ophelia, is courted by Hamlet. Laertes warns Ophelia that she must end her relationship with Hamlet since he is the prince and is not the master of his wishes because they may affect the State. Polonius forbids him to see him again, "From now on forever: I do not want, speaking in clear terms, to waste a single moment of conversation or conversation with Prince Hamlet." Ofelia promises to obey and stop seeing Hamlet. That night the ghost appears in Hamlet and the information that is the spirit of his father and his uncle Claudio murdered him when he poured the way during his dream. The ghost that asks to avenge him by killing his murderer. After the meeting, the prince doubts if the spirit is that of his father and if what he has said is real.
