Jeanne-Marie Bouvier de la Motte-Guyon was known simply as 'Madame Guyon', she lived all her life in France and she was considered a mystic who practiced stillness and meditation, wrote many books, poems and influenced Francois Fenelon, who was one of her most famous disciples, directly.
