Hardcover. Condition: Good-. Denshow, W. W. (illustrator). 1st Edition. At 208 pages long this book is green and yellow with a brownish masking tape covering and holding the spine in palce. There is heavy wear to the spine especially the bottom edge. There is also moderate wear to the corners and edges of the covers and pencil marks on the cover page. Included at the back is a loose color picture with the quote "You must give me the Golden Cup".

Nice copy of this 2nd edition, 1st printing. 259.1 pp.1st printing points- Crow eye is yellow, 3 dates and 7 lines on copyright page. Colour plate at page 92 is missing otherwise complete. Book shows the title " Wizard of Oz " on spine and front board. Decorated boards have slightest rubbing and light water? marks to front otherwise bright and attractive. Inner front board has scoring towards hinge which is damaged but tight. ffep is missing a one inch square to top left. Rear hinge cracked with webbing showing but still firm. Gift inscription to blank prelim' page dated Christmas 1904. No other marks or inscriptions. Very good. Now in a clear removable archival sleeve.
