13 original photos mounted single-sided on blackpaper, 5 in colour, of the sculpting of Adam and Eve, plus 6 further original photos, 5 mounted on stiff card, plus one letter to Derek Bottomley and three pages of hand written notes by Broderick regarding Adam and Eve and a short early biography, associated clippings. Grey plastic folder, 31x23. Small crack to folder, contents all very good. Adam and Eve was commissioned by the architect, Derek Bottomley, for his garden. The pasted-on images describe the evolution of the work from the original stone cutting to positioning the finished sculpture in the garden. Further images show the work in progress in the sculptor's studio. The detailed letter, dated 2.1.97, describes the work and its making. Derek Bottomley was a notable West Yorkshire architect, died c2008. He designed a fine modern movement house for himself in Sherburn-in-Elmet, which appears in the background of one of the photos.
