Two Autograph Letters Signed, each 8½" X 11", each New York, NY, 1938 December 6 and 1939 January 13. Both addressed to Owen Davies. Near fine. Orders various titles from this Chicago bookseller, such as "Josie Turner's 'Elsie Dinsmore on the Loose'. I could dispose of as many copies as you can find, if the price is not exorbitant." In the second letter, though she orders five copies of the Dinsmore classic, she remarks, "Have you any idea why the price is so high? I remember that the book was remaindered and sold at 35 cents per copy at the most. I'd be glad to get hold of a few copies of the following: Crawford, P. The Blot: little city cat." Interesting that she needs copies of her own first book.
