More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Moderate cracking to gutters causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has minor sunning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Unclipped dust jacket with minor rubbing, chipping and tearing to edges. Moderate tanning and scuffing overall.

A fine copy with a dusty top-edge (no inscriptions) in a dustwrapper that is VG slightly grubby in appearance with several, tiny closed tears neatly but un-necessarily repaired on the verso with clear tape. The rear panel is slightly dusty to the extremities. A collection of supposed aphrodisiacs. Great cover art and full-page chapter decorations by Bruce Roberts. NB: An interesting copy given the variant boards and the lettering in black, as opposed to gilt, to the spine. Definitely a first edition but possibly second state binding?
