Unbound. Condition: Near Fine. Twenty-one original cartoons. Each is on artist board and measures 11" x 14". Condition is general near fine, a few are age-toned. All but one are finished cartoons; the other is a detailed sketch. Most of the drawings have a page from *The Instructor* magazine affixed to the verso, showing the published cartoon, with dates ranging from 1952-1958; a few do not, but it seems likely they were published there as well, with the exception of the single sketch. Each of the humorous cartoons feature grammar school children doing cute or silly things. For instance, one shows a mother registering her small child, who is wearing a baseball catcher's mask, in school, with the caption: "No, he doesn't play baseball, he bites." *The Instructor* was a long-running magazine aimed at primary school teachers, and the pages on the verso advertise schools, continuing education, and teacher's supplies. A small but charming collection of easy-going humor aimed at teachers dealing with the first wave of baby-boomers.
